     THE CHALLENGE: Most kids would like to start their own business someday but have no idea how to go about it.  There aren't classes they can take or tools they can use.

    THE ACTIVITY: To research and learn how to run your own road side challenge such as lemonade stand, bake sale or yard sale.

    THE ACHIEVEMENT: Teaching kids all about running their very own business - all on their own!

     THE CHALLENGE: With technology at your fingertips most kids do not sit down to write an old fashioned  snail mail  letter.  Receiving mail in your mailbox is exciting and fun.

    THE ACTIVITY: Write a letter to a child in Ghana, West Africa.  On the outside of the letter be sure to include your first name, age and gender so that you can be matched with a new  pal.

    THE ACHIEVEMENT:  Touch a life, be a friend, make a difference.

    THE CHALLENGE: Kids between the ages of 6 and 11 have the HIGEST risk of obesity.  The CDC says the figure has grown to 19.6%!

    THE ACTIVITY: Through art and a collaborative game, learn how to eat right

    THE ACHIEVEMENT:  Understand more about the importance of a balanced diet

    THE CHALLENGE: Obesity has more than doubled in the last 25 years, with aproximately 30% of adolescents today, overweight.

    THE ACTIVITY: Through art and a relay race, learn how to eat right

    THE ACHIEVEMENT:  Understand more about the importance of a balanced diet

    THE CHALLENGE: Fewer than 15% of elementary school kids eat the recommended 5 or more servings of fruit & vegetables every day.

    THE CHALLENGE: The advertising of "junk food" to kids is being blamed for our obesity epidemic in the United States.

    THE ACTIVITY:  Educate yourself on different food ads

    THE ACHIEVEMENT: Learn about the effects that advertising can have on your food choices.

    THE CHALLENGE: According to the CDC, 18% of teens (12-to19) are obese.  How much do food ads influence what you eat?
