President's Volunteer Service Award

The President's Volunteer Service Award is a national program recognizing Americans who have demonstrated a sustained commitment to volunteer service.

The award was created in 2003 (by then-President George W. Bush), to give presidential recognition to individuals, families and groups who meet requirements for volunteer service.

Eligibility is measured by the number of hours completed in a 12-month period.

If over your lifetime you dedicate 4,000 hours or more to volunteer service, you are eligible for the President’s Call to Service Award.

KooDooZ offers challenges in the categories of   (i) personal achievement, (ii) day of service, (iii) community service and (iv) Service-Learning Inspired to provide more opportunities for youth and families to achieve the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

Each challenge is delivered with easy-to-follow milestones and methodologies to ensure goal attainment.

Additionally, the KooDooZ system documents evidence of youth progress towards meeting specific service goals and learning outcomes.

As a certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award, KooDooZ has the ability to credit time served for those tasks that meet volunteerism, community service and Service-Learning Inspired standards.

As a result, every hour a kid spends on KooDooZ challenges can make a difference for both kid and cause.
